			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><img class="alignleft" title="Logo Design Gone Wrong: 10 Offbeat Examples" src="http://media02.hongkiat.com/logo-design-gone-wrong/logo-design-wrong-04.jpg" alt="logo design wrong 04 Logo Design Gone Wrong: 10 Offbeat Examples" width="349" height="297" />Branding 101.  Surely not everyone has the opportunity to take it&#8230; or better yet, even have the desire to really understand the importance of a brand, but I believe that people inherently know what &#8220;works&#8221; and &#8220;what doesn&#8217;t.&#8221;  What &#8220;looks right&#8221; and &#8220;what doesn&#8217;t.&#8221;  That said, marketers and graphic designers are still in high demand, have been for many decades, and as one myself, hopefully will be for eons to come.  Organizations relinquish their control and trust to these brand stewards and marketing geniuses under the assumption that they will put the best interest of the company first.  Most times this is indeed the case and there is a nice happy win-win in the end.  But as you can see to the left, not all stories get their happy ending&#8230;uh, actually Arlington Pediatric Center&#8217;s logo may beg to differ.  Gross.  You get the idea.  It&#8217;s a travesty and makes us creatives look bad because these graphics and logos should always be thought through and viewed from every angle.  Tisk tisk. </p>
<p>For all of you who haven&#8217;t enrolled in Branding 101, check out the below link for some additional comic relief while the rest of us sink down low, very low in our chairs in embarrassment for the unnamed perpetrators.  Lesson learned folks.    </p>
